I have a floppy drive in my system that I dont really use that much. Recently, I have used it more because I was trying to install Windows 95 on an old hard drive to see if it would work and make use of the drive.
See thread : Hard drive dead? ![]() After the install, I noticed the floppy drive was really slow during boot. It would take up to a minute to notice there was no floppy in the drive. It has really increasted the time it takes to boot my PC. I decided to take it out of the boot order in BIOS, it now reads CD 1st and HDD 2nd. However, despite this, the floppy still becomes active during boot, now between the CD drives and the HDD. ![]() Does anyone know how I can stop this? I would unplug the drive, but I still use it from time to time.
