Re: format HDD 80GB to FAT32 in XP sp3

Hello and welcome to the forum.

You should realy choose NTFS not fat 32.

First do this:

Click start/Open My Computer/Right Click on the hard drive and choose format.

There is a choice menu box you can choose FAT 32 or NTFS.

Choose quick format.

You do not need to change any other settings.

Then click start.

You will get a popup box saying all data will be lost just continue.

I hope that helps?

JB.

Any particular reason you want the drive formatted to FAT32?
