Optiplex sata drive

Hello, I have a quick question. Can a dell optiplex gx280 support a sata optical drive? I did some research online and did not find anything specific so I want to make sure.

If this link is your computer then yes occording to Dell your computer does support a SATA hard drive.

The computer does support a SATA hard drive, but what about the cd/dvd drive? Right now it is IDE so I was wondering if I could install a SATA or if SATA is supported.

According to the manual if I have the correct one your CD/DVD rom is IDE.

You can check this by opening up the computer and check.

If it is IDE you have a spare port as in SATA which will support a SATA hard drive.
