Very low burning speed !!!
Hello.
I have been having problems burning dvds for a week now. I bought a new dvd recorder on May 15th ( LG GH22NS30 SECURE DISC DVD REWRITER BLACK BULK ),and it worked just fine until last week. From one burning to the next I noticed that instead of taking the usual 4-5 minutes to burn a dvd at 12x speed , it took from 51 minutes to 1h 15 minutes. When the burn process starts, it shows 12x started speed, but after ~10 seconds it slows down to 1x - 1.3x speed. I have been using the Ashampoo burning studio 8, and Taiyo Yuden dvd-r disks with 1-16x speed. Ever since the problem appeared I upgraded the Ashampoo to the latest version, I tried different software for burning, I tried different disks, I followed the advice I found in another similar article :"right-click on "my computer" => properties => hardware => device manager. Expand your cd/dvd drives, right-click your burner and click uninstall. Reboot the computer and Windows will redetect it and reinstall its drivers", I even disconnected the cables and reconnected it to my pc. In dvd/cd drive-->My computer-->Properties, my write speed is the highest. Nothing has worked !!! I am really pissed because it's only 3 months since I've bought it and I am really hoping I have done something wrong !!! Is there anything I could do to fix this or should I just throw it away??
