Sony DVD RW DW-Q120A - Reads DVDs but not CD/CD - ROM

I bought Sony DVD RW DW-Q120A a couple of years back and it was working properly until a few months back and now it stopped reading CD/CD-ROM but it does read all DVDs.

OS : XP

Any pointers will help.

Usually a sign of a bad drive. You have 2 lasers, one for dvd, one for
cd. The cd side might be burnt out, or dirty...

You can try and blow it out with compressed air. You may also try
one of them cleaners, comes on a cd. Ive seen them work, if only
temporarily..
