DVD-RW Drive Error
Had ''MY COMPUTER'' open and the CD Drive (E:) icon was accidently dropped into the DVD-RW Drive (D:) icon. As a result of this mistake DVD-RW Drive will not recognize or write files to DVD-R or DVD-RW disks. It will recognize CD disks and is recognizing the (D)Drive as a CD Drive. I believe hardware for DVD-RW drive is: Lite-on DVDRW SOHW-8325 and CD Drive (E) hardware is CD-ROM GCR-8483B Did troubleshooting to no avail. Had Windows search for driver update to no avail. When checking DVD-RW Properties it reads: Drive D
Type: CD Drive Location: 0 (0) What steps to I have to take to undo changes made when CD Drive was dropped into DVD Drive on My Computer? Hope you can help me solve this problem. Thanks S. Quest Last edited by skquest; 07-27-2009 at 03:50 AM. |
