Malfunctioned flash drive
Hi. I recently was prompted by a PC running Windows Vista to run Scandisk on my flash drive that had worked perfectly fine for more that two years, to check for any errors, after accidentally removing before running safe removal. After running Scandisk, all new documents/files I save - be they Office Documents, pictures or videos - get corrupted. i can open older documents that i had saved earlier before running scandisk, but if i try modifying & saving ,say, a Word document, it immediately becomes corrupted & the words turn to rows upon rows of tiny squares. if i close & try re-opening, same thing. In short, I can't save anything new to this flash drive. Have tried formatting it twice, with same result. Have ran Anti-virus & Malware scans on it, but no difference. what could be wrong with it & how do I salvage it? Thanks.
