Re: Question About Optical Drive
I doubt it. Brand model of the DVD-RAM?
The price of Dual Layer DVD media has kept it from being popular and with the compression software that is available it's more cost efficient, for the home user, to compress large amounts of data (i.e.) movies) to single layer DVD media. Verbatim is about the only reliable brand of DL DVD Media widely available.

Re: Question About Optical Drive
From what I can find, that is a DVDRW optical drive that does NOT have DL burning capabilties. A drive that has DL burning capabilities almost always has the letters DL in the nomenclature.
i.e. NexxTech LH1P20AX DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner. I'm assuming NexxTech uses the "X" to define a DL capable drive.

Re: Question About Optical Drive
Well, I just found a different model number on the drive. It's the same as the one previously posted, but it's got "04C" after it. LH-1P20A04C. I don't know if that changes the situation at all.
