DVD Problem
I use nero 7 for a burn program, and it will not recognize my dvd drive. I know i can burn dvds on this computer (it has the little dvd multi recorder icon) But I've never done it before. Could this be from when i switched over from vista to xp, or is it just a problem with nero itself?

Re: DVD Problem
Did that dvd burner ever work with that version of nero? If not, there
is a possibility that the drive is not supported, go to neros website, there should be a list of supported drives.. In nero go to recorders, should be a drop down,,see if your drive is in the list...

Re: DVD Problem
I have never burned dvds on this computer before, with nero or any other burn software. I've been trying to figure this thing out all day and am ready to just throw it out the window. The only thing I have got it to do is make an iso image, but it still wont burn to disc. It wont even burn cds now, wich I know I have done before. The only thing I can think of is something being wrong with my drivers but I'm not sure that's the case. I used to be able to burn cds with this, and it has always recognized the dvds i put in it.
I think I may end up just reinstalling windows and it's drivers (some improper drivers were put on here when I first put xp on it) and run Aida, then try to find a different burn software if that doesn't fix my problem. Last edited by nordic.nymph; 06-19-2009 at 04:57 PM. |

Re: DVD Problem
I'm not sure what DVDRW. It's the one that came in my compaq presario cq60.
I have tried multiple versions of nero as well as several other dvd burn programs and so far none of them have recognized the drive. |
