CD Drive fails to work after virus removal

I recently cleaned my computer of a major virus, and Th technician had to restore my hard drive to factory quality, which means the state which it was in after it left the factory.... so, I tired to install some of my programs for my work. after 10 minutes of waiting for thr d installation screen to pop up, i took it out and tried it agian.

Oh crap, here we go again.

I did everything- cleaned the lens on my cd drive, made sure if it was functionla and connectd, everything. it even opens and closes, but it wont run any of my cds/ dvds. not even the reinstallling tapes would work. its bull crap, and its frustrating. if someone could help me- anyone, anyone at all, id be much apreciated.

if you can see it listed in the bios ok,try removing the filters

is it listed in the bios ok
