Hi,
I have been able to burn DVDs for a long time but suddenly started getting disk write errors. I thought it may have been conflicting software, so I got a new 1TB hard disk, fresh install of WinXP Pro, and Nero. Now with a fresh setup, I'm still getting write errors. I have two DVD burners, both giving errors. They will burn a CD, but not a DVD. I'm using the same disks as I always have. Along with the new hard disk, I updated the BIOS and firmware.

Then I tried NTI DVD Maker and got a disk write error with that too.

I don't know what else to troubleshoot. Any ideas? Thank you!

You have 2 lasers, one for cds, and one for dvds. If cleaning doenst
work, you will need to replace.
