Problem with DVD drive

I have recently upgraded my system to P45mobo with Q9400 proccessor. Ever since my DVD drive (hp DVD735 & LG Hl-DT ST GSA-H10N ) refuses to Write on any dvd (tried atleast 5 Makes incl. Sony, Imation, Verbatim, phillips and TDK). Have tried Copytodvd, tried burning using ultraiso and even nero but same result. It throws an error messege(pic attached).

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers and then reinstalling them?

Re: Problem with DVD drive

No I didn't put a new video card as had a Nvidia geforce 6200 card which I am using now also.
Did change the power supply, Using a S-Tek ST 772003 with 500w output.

Re: Problem with DVD drive

That means I need to change my power supply to something that can give me more than 500w.

Re: Problem with DVD drive

Thanks Dai, the thread you recommended was really enlightening, will definitely go in for a new power supply and let you know if the problem is solved but will have to wait for next weekend as Quality power supply will need a visit to the city which can be done over the weekend only.

Re: Problem with DVD drive

Changed to FSP Epsilon 600 but the problem still happens. This time screenshot from Copytodvd. Again tried with atleast three brands of media.
