Cry [SOLVED] Cd/dvd drive not recognised

Hi,

I have noticed that my CD/DVD drive is not being recognised.
When I insert any a CD or DVD the disk spins but it is not shown in my computer.

I have checked the connections and they are firmly connected.

the make and model is:

AOpen, CD/DVD Rewritable drive
Model no. DUW1616/ARR
P/N: 91.4ID37.273
S/N: 52816653JE B

Any suggestions please

Regards

Vinnie

Hi,
I will check tomorrow as I'm not on the troubled PC and let you know the outcome.

Thanks

Vinnie

I have checked the BIOS and cannot see it, is there a specific place I should be looking ?

Re: Cd/dvd drive not recognised

It is all working now, I reconnected the drive using another connector from the same data cable and also another power connector.

Thank you very much for your help, you guys at tech support are great.

Regards
Vinnie
