Floppy Drive appearing when there is no installed floppy drive
Hey all, just had a quick question,
well i custom made my desktop about a month ago, and ever since ive used it, when i open up windows explorer and view my hard drives and disk drives, it also has a listed floppy disk drive (A:). The thing is, i never installed a floppy drive, so i was wondering whats the go with that. I know i havent provided much info, but if theres anything that i could look into etc etc to know why its appearing. Im running windows 7 build 7068 x64 bit if that makes any difference... Cheers, Tim

Re: Floppy Drive appearing when there is no installed floppy drive
Hello Timmy,
Boot the system into the BIOS. Look for the floppy diskette and disable it (depending on the BIOS you have it may be on the Main page) Once it is disabled it won't appear in explorer.
