Mistake Problem with DVD-ROM

Hello, I'm using Acer Aspire 4710 and Windows 7.

I'm not sure about the make of my DVD-ROM, but this is what my Device Manager says -
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA Device

What happens is the DVD-ROM does not detect certain DVDs.
When I put in some other DVDs and then reinsert the first, it works fine !??

I tried reinstalling Windows, everything went fine for about 2 weeks and then the problem started again !!

I know for sure this is not a problem with Windows 7, because it used to happen when I was using Windows Vista as well . . .

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Problem with DVD-ROM

I'm still downloading the RC version.
It'll take some time considering that I'm currently using dial-up connection.

So is this a problem with the OS ??
