Memory stick properties shows full, files not visible
Hello TSF readers
I have a 1Gb memory stick, branded Lexar. It has an LED bar meter on the side to indicate the memory used. The meter is showing full, however when I use both Windows Explorer and Mac OSX there are no files visible other than the Lexar filing software, which takes up a nominal amount of space. 'Properties' indicates that the stick is full. Are there hidden files I can't see, and if so is there any way I can delete them? Thank you for your suggestions. |

Re: Memory stick properties shows full, files not visible
Follow up - has happened to another memory stick as well (Kingston brand). The 'Tools' function in Windows has detected lots of files, however they are not visible in Windows Explorer, so I can't delete them. Is there a way to see these files in Explorer, or some way of deleting them?
I am copying files from an external hard drive through a PC laptop to the memory stick. I am then copying the files from the memory stick and copying them on to a MacBook Pro laptop (with intel chip). Should I be copying the external hard drive files on to the PC hard drive before copying them to the stick? |
