[SOLVED] The never ending Floppy
I recently replaced my floppy drive and now the light is constantly on and I can't have it read anything. I tried flipping the cable and that just caused it to not be able to read the floppy disks. These same symptoms where on the old drive so I am confused. Help!

Re: The never ending Floppy
I do have the twisted plug connected to the drive with the untwisted plug disconnected. The motherboard plug is plugged in to the motherboard. By the way this cable has three plugs, two for floppy drives and one for the motherboard.

Re: The never ending Floppy
Maybe bad cable, bad drive. If the light stays on that usually means
the cable is backwards. Try the drive in a different position, as long as the twisted pair is connected to the drive. May try another cable, preferably with just one twisted pair.

Re: The never ending Floppy
There is only one twist on this cable. I think I managed to get it set up correctly after flipping the connection on the motherboard. Its a pity that they don't put directional tabs on this cable.

Re: [SOLVED] The never ending Floppy
Glad to hear it! Now you have a spare floppy drive, as the other one is
probably not damged, a win win situation..
