Burner error message

I am running a Dell desktop and with Windows XP home edition everytime I try to burn a cd my system says "No burner hardware found" yet I have a Sony CDRW/DVD CRX330E CD Burning drive and an EZ Dub LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1P USB Device (An External DVD burner) so I am not understanding why it would do that I have used Magix Goya BurnR, Windows Media Player, Real Player and Nero Burning Suite and I get the same message no matter what so I assume it is either an OS problem or a Hardware issue and am at a a loss for a solution. I have checked the properties on both drives and it says that both are working properly. Can someone please help me?

Re: Burner error message

When you launch nero, look for the recorder tab, is one of your burners
in the list? If not you may want to point nero to the burner. I think most
if not all sony burners are supported by nero.
