[SOLVED] DVD ROM help

hi, i have a DVD DRIVE (D:) & a DVD RW DRIVE (E:) they both are detected and everything says to be working fine, here is the problem:

i put in ANY CD and (both) drives load, stop, and thats it, nothing else. i then go to "MY COMPUTER" and it still doesn't show up. I double click one, it freezes, i open the drive it was in, it unfreezes and says please enter disk.

please help, as i have no idea what is up.

Re: DVD ROM help

my voltages are auto. my BIOS allows me to overlclock easily, i am currently not, everything is default ...

*edit* when i put a disk in, i see the disk logo on the mouse, telling me its working, but after that, it just goes idle... it doesn't even appear on "MY COMPUTER" which is so weird.
