If anyone can help me out of this jam, I'd be forever in their debt.
I had a Beyond Micro 500g external hard drive (model BMMDU2) hooked up to a laptop when the laptop came down with a nasty virus. I had to wipe the laptop's hard drive completely and reformat it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the external hard drive was hooked up to it and it reformatted it as well. I lost HUNDREDS of family photos and about 3000 songs. Not only that, but when I plug it into my new computer, I get the error message... "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." What can I do to get this up and running and maybe even recover the files that were on it? Please email me at SHANNOMAC@AOL.com with any suggestions. Thanks a ton!!
