Dell Powervault 124t backup error
We have a Dell Powervault 124t backup server that runs with LTO tape. We use Retrospect program to execute all backup activities. It's directly connected through SCSI card, the issue is not being able to backup anything on the tape. It has no problem backing up anything internally like server etc..., problem only occurred when backing up externally through physical LTO backup tapes.
Error msg sample: Device trouble: "X-ARCHIVE-XX-XX-XX", error -212 (media erased) Trouble writing: "X-ARCHIVE-XX-XX-XX" (388759552), error -100 (device rejected command) We have replaced new library, SCSI cable, tapes, & terminator but still getting the same problem. Thank you! Last edited by gsanluis; 03-09-2009 at 12:26 PM. |

Re: Dell Powervault 124t backup error
sounds like either the tape drive or the media is defective
