CD doesnt work but DVD works.

I have an asus 1814 BLT dvd drive. I was trying to burn an .iso onto a cd but failed repeatedly until I realised I was supposed to burn an image. I started playing around with Poweriso and Nero 7. After this my dvd drive stopped reading CDs. In My Computer I can double click on the drive but it comes up with a blank screen even when theres stuff inside the CD. When I insert the CD it just spins really fast then stops then starts again then stops, repeatedly for a while. DVDs still work on it though.

I looked through the internet and it seems a lot of people who used Nero 7 came up with the same problem as me.

I reformatted my comp but doesnt fix anything.

I have a second drive and everything works perfectly on it but its a big waste because of a tiny mistake I made.
