dvd drive not reading discs

this is kinda a new install i have vista installed out of no where the drive doesn't read discs. the same thing happened to my old drive that worked fine before i made this build. the drive opens but says theres no disk.

is the current driver please help.

Try this
If dvd drive is not responding then first insert cd and then log off and again log in
If still problem is there change data cable of drive & confirm that Driver is installed properly.

can anyone help my dvd drive works on xp on a old comp on my new comp it does not.
