Disk is write protected error

Before I posted here I did look for my specific issue, however I could not find one in the search function. I just purchased a new Digital photo frame with a removable memory card. I followed directions and plugged it all in, installed the memory card and the USB cable from the Digital frame to my computer. Problem: when trying to copy a picture from the computer to the Digital frame ( memory card) I get an error that says. " Cannot copy ......" "The disk is write protected, remove the write protection or use another disk". What I have done: I have 2 other memory cards I have tried, all get errors. I have placed a memory card with photos on it from my camera, into the picture frame and that works. I have tried to up-load from a CD, same error. I know these disks are not write protected as far as my camera is concerned. What is the disconnect between my computer and the digital frame? And, how do I get my computer to understand these memory cards are not write protected?
BTY I have made sure the disks are in the unlocked position.
