IDE DVD writer and SATA DVD writer
I currently have a LG IDE DVD writer and a SATA hard drive installed in my PC. I have just bought a LG SATA DVD writer (LightScribe). Is it OK to install the SATA writer with the IDE writer already installed? The motherboard has 4 SATA ports with the hard drive connected to SATA 2. Do I connect the writer to any specific SATA port or doesn't it matter? Also what about the master and slave business with the two writers? The SATA writer does not have jumpers.
All advice greatly appreciated. Thanking you minder1 Last edited by minder1; 01-02-2009 at 06:31 AM. |
