USB port suddenly not working
Well, I apparently need another help.. ^^;
I've had some problem with my PC (again); I have a two front USB ports, and one back USB port, with an extension that divides into 5 ports. I have a data cable for PSP which was plugged inside the extension port, and the front was originally used for external harddrives. Just now my PC can't detect any of my external harddrives / flashdisk, and sometimes when I plug the harddrive / flashdisk, the whole USB port just went dead and I can't use my mouse / tablet / anything even if it's replugged. After restarting it's back to normal (but still can't use the flashdisk though) It's happened twice, and always after I plugged my PSP and try to but in the first one, it's returned back to normal the next day, but after today, I decided to at least try to find out what's wrong with my computer. Oh, there's some slowdown on my PC, on particular: My Computer (especially when plugging an external harddrive / flashdisk), and WLM, when logging in. But it occured randomly and it also occured just today. I would like to know whether it's my USB port that needed a change, or maybe there's something wrong on the drivers / something? I haven't do any scanning; I was afraid my PC will ended up worse and/or it's not an internal problem but due to careless scanning it ended up become one. Thanks before for the help :) and sorry for any inconvenience |
