USB went into RAW format?
I was at school and transferring a file on my USB and then dragged another one... and all of a sudden it closed and my USB wasn't recognized. I took it out and put it back in and apparently it wasn't formatted... then I did it again and it says it's in RAW format. I don't want to format it or use any windows xp tools because I've come to not trust them. Is there any way I can recover my files? They were really important and I had some school related work there... Thanks, I appreciate it!
PS - The USB is a 2GB Kingston Datatraveler 2.0 Thanks! |

Re: USB went into RAW format?
RAW is before format, so there isnt any data on it. Use a command line.
Hold start key and press R Type cmd and press enter Type: format [enter drive letter of USB stick]: /fs:fat (should look something like this... format d: /fs:fat )
