CD/DVDW drive won't take a DVD-RW disk
I have been struggling with this for a while. There is a "clicking" noise when the DVD-RW disk is loaded on the drive. This repeats with other sounds, too. I can load CD-R and CD-RW disks just fine.
The DVD-RW disk I am trying to use loads fine and can be written to on another computer. Also, my drive will read DVD-RWs. It has been suggested that I look for updated firmware. I have found it and have the download file. However, it will not open. It is a "dot bin" (.bin) file. How do I proceed? If there are other thoughts, please give me their benefit. Thanks, {redoak} |
