Extratcting data from corrupt usb flashdrive
i plugged my 1g usb flashdrive in yesterday to my xp comp. my memory overloaded from the prog i was running, and it crashed the flashdrive. it now says it needs to be formatted, BUT I HAVE NOT DONE IT YET. is there any way to get the data off the flashdrive without formatting it? there are some Very importand docs on it that i need.

Is the drive readable at all? Try plugging it into a different USB drive. If you can't access the files from windows explorer, give photorec a try. A thread on how to use it:
