few questions before buying a DVD burner
I'm planning on buying a dvd burner for my computer within the next couple of months and I had a few questions before I do so that I will know what my computer is compatible with, what would be best, etc.
I own a Dell Dimension 3000 that I purchased around mid 2005. I haven't added anything to the computer outside of a second internal hard drive. I want to buy a DVD burner for my computer. I dont have a need for a rewritable one at all. Can someone explain the differences between DVD-R, DVD+R, etc. for me? Also, I don't really understand the whole single or double layer thing when it comes to the DVDs I would be using to burn. Finally, can someone recommend a decent quality burner that I should buy that would be compatible with my computer? Last edited by notter87; 09-30-2008 at 12:03 AM. |
