[SOLVED] 16GB verbatim USB

i bought a 16GB verbatim USB mass storage and i have stuff in there for college. it now tels me its corrupt.
what can i do?
if i have to wipe im ok with that i have the files i need on another computer.
but i need the device for school.
any help?
am i able to wipe it myself or do i have to get some one to do it for me.

go to my computer
Right click the removable drive
Click format
Tick the box's you want, then click start.

Can't even right click it. my whole computer slows down and wont even let me see anything. (just says removable disk(F: through G:))
then i get the small window saying it is corrupt and/or unreadable
ill give it a try on the drive its in

ok it worked.
it wiped absoulutly everything including the password program it had but at least it worked.
