No Display on monitor

Iam using Intel mother board 845 GLAD and pentium 4 1.7 Ghz Processor. Now when I try to boot my computer there is no display, only the monitor LED blinking. Can anybody help me to slove this problem. Or guide me what may be the possible cause and how could I over come this problem.

reseat RAM, if there are 2 RAM chips, try booting with only 1 chip in the motherboard at a time...

Does the screen light up at all, even during BIOS load? If not, then the monitor is suspect bad. You need to test with anohter known good monitor as it may be the backlight on the monitor has gone out.

Thank you for your replies, I have changed the RAM and also Checked my CPU with another monitor but the problem remains the same. The monitor LED blinking, and I have noticed a beep sound once in 12 sec. Please help me, once again thank you for your valuable suggestions.

Hi mate,
do you have on-board graphic card or some else???
tell us what you have...
Or if you can, post full system spec so we can see where could be bottleneck...

turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
replace the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

there can be 2 solder points you touch with a screwdriver
2 pins you touch with a screwdriver or use a jumper
a cmos clear switch or button
there will be a diagram and instructions in your manual

you can check the bios beep here
