hello,
i'm hoping someone here can help me, recently my drive stopped reading DVDs though it is reading and burning CDs (though not with Windows Media which always gives an error when i try to burn a CD, but real player works normally). when i insert a DVD-r the drive icon Changes to a CD with DVD-r marked at the bottom and CD Drive(D:) but with 0bytes used and 0bytes available . it was suggested that my DVD drive has read it's last DVD, that the lens was bad or something, but is this possible if it is still functioning normally with CDs? i installed flash update NECND6650_v103D.exe from Dell website and - nothing. completely out of ideas now...thanx, Angele |
