Really strange boot problem.
Hi, was wondering if any of you have ever experienced this problem, or can offer me a solution to it..
Every time I boot up Vista, I get past boot screen no problems, uptill it's almost finished taking me to my desktop, then it stalls and my DvD drive starts flickering away... It will only resume boot if I eject any cd/dvds I have in the drive. The DvD drive will also no longer work ! Any help would be gratefully received. P.S. I's an old Pioneer DVR-110D ATA, my bios is set for P&P, I've disabled, uninstalled, reinstalled, no use.... Think I need a new one, but don't want to take chance on it being something else completely and wasting money :) Cheers, Pete. |
