problem locating my usb device
Hi..new here...
Erm, can anyone please help me figure this out? When I plugged in my Kingston Data Traveller 2.0 into the port, the removable media isn't shown on the My Computers page. But the pc did detect it. It's shown in Disk Management and when I opened from within, the content just lasted for a few seconds before reverting to My Computers. I checked in the Device Manager but there seems to be no problem. I have a personal computer: XP Professional SP2 Pentium 4 Previously, it runs well. But some malware infected my pc: kavo.exe p3r1ud.exe I cleaned them up, and fixed the registry (though I am not so sure). Then, I found out that the My Computers page won't show the removable disk icon when I plugged it in. The same goes to my USB 2.0 Flash Disk of my mp3 player. But my external disk drive can be found. I'm really confused. Anyone can help me? Thanx a lot... |

Re: problem locating my usb device
i tried that, and that's how the contents of my thumb drive showed up momentarily before reverting to the My Computer page. Anyway, do I need to keep assigning a drive letter every time I attach a USB device?
