Removing the region lock on DVD drives

Hi, i was wondering how to remove the region lock on my DVD drive? I know that programs such as VLC and SM player can play dvd's of any region, but for some reason they lag on my pc. My dvd drive is a Lite-on 832S. What methods are there to remove the lock?

Hello, welcome to TSF.

Unfortunately, there are not legal ways of doing this. DVD's are region locked for a reason and by-passing this system would defy it's purpose.
