ASUS DRW-2014L1T DVD-RW 20X fails to autoplay CD
having problems running CD autoplay on this new ASUS dvd writer drive of mine
i've had no problems running dvd movies, and reading dvd data with this, i've been able to install with some CD installers but i recently noticed that i'm having problems booting liveCDs with it, at one time Damn Small Linux ran , but rather too slowly, when compared to booting with a pure CD drive... the Fedora Live CD fails to run on the ASUS too.. while it runs pretty fast and welll on an old 52x cd rom drive here I just wonder , is this an issue with dvd drives in general/ with DVD writers? ... or is my purchase defective, somewhat |
