Basically, my DVD-RAM drives cannot read or write. According to Device Manager, they appear to working properly. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS PROBLEM. I've had it before, and a re-format and re-installation of Windows seems to have fixed it. However, it has been a couple of months now, and the problem just came back. I can put any type of disc in the drive, but the drive doesn't even sound like it is doing anything. It's like it's not even trying to read the disc. And I also noticed that before this problem occurs, My DVD-RAM drives didn't appear as that under My Computer. It just said 'Cd Drive', but it worked just fine. I have two other DVD-RAM drives and they do the same thing. Allow me to list all of my specs.
Mobo: Asus P5E RAM: 4G CORSAIR XMS2 1 500G WD HDD ATI RADEON HD 3870 2 SAMSUNG SH-203N DVD-RAM drives INTEL QUAD CORE Processor. I know that those specs aren't as specific as I could make them, but I really don't think they'll help that much anyway. Prior to a re-format, I had the same problem with 2 other DVD-RAM drives. Can anyone help me here? |
