non spd ram

my system displays an erronr that:
"a non spd ram is found and the data is incompelete or inconclusive.
100mhz speed is assumed".
what should i do ?

Re: non spd ram

Generally that means your RAM is somehow damaged and, with nothing else to go by, the computer assumes it's the most basic RAM possible. This will lead to a severe decrease in the overall speed and responsiveness of the system. Please post any relevant details about the computer, such as the model number, how much RAM is currently in it, whether you've made any changes/modifications to it, and the like.
