USB Flash Memory not recognized
Hi everybody
![]() I have a Windows 98 SE os. USB flash memory 1 GB TRANSCEND is not recognized at all by computer. I have an installation disc, and installed drivers. It worked for some time and after the problem with Display adapter configuration it stopped working (not so sure when). After resolving the problem I used its installation disk again and installed driver again. But it didn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled driver again, but nothing happened. Please help me. |

Re: USB Flash Memory not recognized
Hi
![]() I think you should reinstall the chipset driver: http://downloads.viaarena.com/drivers/4in1/4in1435v.zip Then install the USB driver again. |

Re: USB Flash Memory not recognized
Hi,
I've just installed the driver you told me, and nothing happened. USB Flash still doesn't work. I couldn't find old chipset driver to uninstall it. Maybe that's the problem? |

Re: USB Flash Memory not recognized
Hi,
In "Device Manager" I see next: ACPI BIOS (yellow exclamation mark !) Communication Port COM1 Dial up Adapter Direct Memory Access Controller ECP Printer Port (LPT1) Numeric Data Processor Processor Support Programmable Interrupt Controller Standard Floppy Disc Controller Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Disc Controller System Board System CMOS / Real time Clock System Speaker System Timer Trident Super VGA Delta DA-570 Unknown devices (1394 Bus Controller) Unknown devices (1394 Bus Controller) Unknown devices (1394 Bus Controller) ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) does not work properly. Error message is "Windows could not load the driver for this device because the computer is reporting two ACPI bus types (code 2). Contact your computer manufacturer to get an updated BIOS for your computer." I have another problem, graphic card doesn't work properly. Some games can not play. Picture colors are not natural only with specific zoom factor. And above all there is no sound. ??? My USB flash works good. I use it every day in my office with many computers. |

Re: USB Flash Memory not recognized
Scan the computer for malware!
Uninstall the graphics driver. Restart. Enter BIOS >> Load setup defaults >> save and exit BIOS. Reinstall the chipset driver. Use the audio and video drivers here: http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us |

Re: USB Flash Memory not recognized
![]() How should I uninstall graphics driver? Through "Add Remove Programms" or through "Device Manager"? If "Device Manager" where in "Device Manager"? The same or like question about chipset driver. Sorry I'am tiring you. It's my first time doing this. There is always "first time". Mica
