DVD Burner not reading Blank discs
I have the same issue with my DVD-RW,does not recognize blanc disc's.I thought it was a software issue but it is not.I reformatted from xp pro to Vista Ultimate.Formatted all my drives did a fresh instal and have the same problem.As far as i can figure out it is a error in the BIOS.I was wondering if windows or nero could detect illegal software and could flash the bios to dissable burning?I tried to re-set my bios settings to default by unplugging power then removing the battery on your motherboard for 2 min,then putting back in.But it only changed my clock settings and other bios settings back to default.Bios still has it show up as a CD-Rom .All my progs are legal and i still have errors and a pile of blank DVD's i cant use,can anyone help??
