Autorun problems - can't install Ultima 9
I'm running XP SP2 Home and recently upgraded my system. New CD is a Philips SP2513P DVD burner (SATA) and I have Direct X 9.0c. Tried to reinstall Ultima 9. The disk contents show onscreen, but autorun will not work (including clicking on autorun in properties). Tried setup.exe on the install disk and that also won't run! Went to my old computer (same XP program) and install works fine, so disk is ok. Have had no problem with other games (older and otherwise), although the drive initially wouldn't recognize Painkiller (installed after a reboot). Went to Philips for a driver update, but there wasn't one (the driver is a generic microsoft). Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Autorun problems - can't install Ultima 9
Problem is still not solved, but I found a workaround (at least for my game). Installed Ultima 9 on my wife's computer and then copied the 1+ gb Ultima directory onto my 2gb flash drive and moved it to my computer. Works fine. In fact I don't use or need the game CD in the drive.
