2 dvd drives and 2 different problems after bios flash.
OK I have a DVD drive and a DVD R/RW drive (both LG) I flashed my bios a while ago and ever since then neither has been working properly.
The dvd drive is powered and i can open the tray and everything but it wont read anything because its not being recognized by the computer (its not showing up during the bootup and its not in my computer/device manager, and not in the bios either) I tried updating drivers, but since the dvd drive is not even being recognized as connected to the computer i cant update drivers for it. The dvd burner drive will read dvds/cds perfectly ok, but when I try to burn a dvd or cd using ANY program (itunes, Nero, alcohol120, etc) I get a blue screen of death immediately. STOP: 0x0000009C (0x0000004, 0x8054DF0, 0xB2000000, 0x00070F0F) Ive updated the drivers for this one (and rolled back) and neither fixes the problem. Ive physically unplugged/reattached both drives from the motherboard to see if that would help and it didnt. They both worked fine before the bios flash. (I had to flash the bios in order to recognize the new dual core processor i just installed) Last edited by xTybe; 02-10-2008 at 06:18 PM. |
