CD player
Hi, Not sure of this is the right area, as I've just joined. I'm using a Windows XP Pentium 4 machine, 2.8 GHz, 512 Mb. When a CD has been playing music for about 5 minutes a regular crackling sound develops with a frequency of about 5Hz. I've tried changing the drive, the connectors, but always the same problem. If I switch off and try again, it starts OK but always develops the problem after a few minutes playing. Any suggestions welcome.
