Vista seeing dvd drive
Ok well my brother calls me the other night and asks me to help him with a problem.
Comcast came out and installed the broadband for him and he starts up the computer after they leave and the dvd-rw is no long recognized. I had him do system restore over the phone with no luck and also had him check the device manager afterwards and dvd/cd drives aren't even listed. So i really have no idea where to start without actually seeing the computer or what they had done, any suggestions? Could the ide cable came loose or coincidently went bad with comcast installing the modem? |
