Sandisk MP3 Player c250/e200 series

First off, I'm not sure if this is the right area to be asking this, but every other area seemed less appropriate.

I've seen others have had the same question as I'm having, namely the sys won't recognize the mp3 player when plugged into a USB port. It USED to work, and now it's decided it doesn't want to, the only difference being some ID3 tags have been added.

I've seen people told to install WMP 11, then roll back to their previous version then install MTP (which accomplished nothing for me). I was hoping that someone out there has had similar experience and could offer some helpful advice.

I'm running XP Pro sp2, 2.3 GHz, 512 RAM, 128 vid--not a new machine, but I'm not hurting.

If there's any additional info that would help you out please ask. (btw, I know the port works, 'cause my webcam works in that port)

Thanks in advance,
pkdormouse
