New Hardware> Data Invalid
When I try to install a new portable harddrive I get the Data Invalid message when the wizard runs. I've had this with a couple of other devices as well.
I looked online and found a solution to run regedt32.exe, go to the registry of the device and change the permission of Full Control to allow. This worked on the other devices but not the harddrive. When I plugged the same drive into my laptop, also using XP Pro, it worked fine first time, no issues at all. Any suggestions? |
