My dvd drive is not working propertly
hi i am new at the forum and I have a problem whith my dvd drive, tipe; SONY RW AW G-170A it can not play dvd movies at all but i dont have problems whith mp3 cd"s or music cds,its about year old and everything was ok untill recently, when my Windows XP Colapsed,but everuthing is ok now except my dvd drive , i try to reinstal driver but it doesn't work....:

Hi, welcome to TSF
Which driver did you reinstall? Which DVD player are you using? Can your computer see the contents of data DVDs in Windows Explorer? XP doesn't come with a DVD codec (needed to play DVD movies). Download Media Player Classic which includes a free DVD codec. Quote:
