dvd/cd burner
I am a novice at this so please bear with me. I have a Gateway Computer(purchased in July 07) with WIndows Vista. I have a DVD+/- RW burner.
I have a TV tuner and am using Windows DVD Maker. I have downloaded movies from TV and saved on my computer. When I attempted touse Windows DVD maker to burn a DVD the burner appears not to recognize the DVD I put in the burner. I have changed the options to the Data CD ir DVD but It will not burn the CD. The door will just open and the DVD pop back out and I get a message that tells me to put DVD in drive. I am using new Memorex DVD-R disks. I have no problems in reading CD and playing DVDs using this drive. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? |

Re: dvd/cd burner
I doubt if this is useful but when you download movies from TV is the saved file on your hard drive divided into 'AUDIO_TS' and 'VIDEO_TS' folders and does the files in the 'VIDEO_TS' folder begin with 'VIDEO_TS.BUP'. If the file has been saved as an .avi file then you need to download DVDFlick from http://www.dvdflick.net/ and it will convert the .avi file into files a DVD writer can read.
I do hope I am not teaching my grandmother to suck eggs and I hope this will help. |
