Re: DVD+RW says "please insert disk in drive: (E)"

The drive listed in your system specs (GCE 8400B) doesn't work with DVD+RW disk, only CD-R and CD-RW.

Are you sure your DVD drive can handle '+' discs? Some can only use '-' discs.

* Windows NT Workstation Ver. 4.0: 64MB or greater (128MB or over recommended)
* Windows 2000/XP: 128MB or greater (256MB or over recommended)
Hard disk: Hard disk with average access time of 19 msec or less, and data transfer speed of 6000KB/sec or greater. 700MB or more free space. (The free space needed for writing depends on the quantity of data.)

Re: DVD+RW says "please insert disk in drive: (E)"

No, you can't use DVDs in a CD drive.

If you decide to buy a DVD drive, make sure it can handle both + and - (plus and minus) DVDRs and DVDRWs.
